In our plenary meeting in Copenhagen, we had the opportunity to meet LABSTER. LABSTER offers Laboratory Simulations for Educators to Empower their STEM Students and has recently raised $10m to bring virtual lab simulations to students around the world.
More specifically, we had the honour to host Jan Stahlberg (Head of Strategy Partnerships) and Philip Wismer (Industry PhD at LABSTER research unit) for a half-day meeting. After receiving a presentation from Jan about the achievements and activities of LABSTER, we also had the chance to present the work performed in ENVISAGE and identify the areas of overlapping interest. Subsequently, we has a long discussion with Philip where we have gone through more than 20 questions addressing LABSTER operations from a software, scientific and business perspective.
We have gain great insights on how to make business with virtual labs in education and got a good understanding of the pain points the LABSTER is currently struggling with. We really hope that we will manage to develop a strong collaboration out of this initial meeting.
